ZENIBA NOW is a creative, performative, and producing artist.
She is writing the book & bars for THE LOOPHOLE, a new musical, with Jay Adana (music & lyrics.) The piece has been championed for the last two years by The Public Theatre, The American Theatre Wing, The Jonathan Larson Foundation, Jeanie O’Hare, and Rafael Casal & Daveed Diggs’ #BARS at The Public where the two women were Residency Writers in 2017. The show was produced developmentally in February 2019 by the Public Theater as part of The Public Studio directed by Awoye Timpo.
Zeniba and Jay were named 2018/19 Dramatist Guild Foundation Fellows for Musical Theatre. Their musical adaptation of Beloved from BARS at The Public was also featured in PBS: The Great American Read Episode 5 for which Zeniba was an interviewee.
As a filmmaker, Zeniba explores Musical Film & Television. Who is the audience? How do they shift our understanding of the line between speaking and singing? How is this line affected by genre, gospel, rap, verse, and ultimately by the presence of the camera?

Zeniba is proudly vegan and devoted to spreading knowledge about this lifestyle that holds the potential layout for ending world hunger, global warming, cancer and other preventable causes of suffering on Earth. As the Digital Marketing Manager/SMM at Seasoned Vegan, the famous restaurant in Harlem, Zeniba has helped curate and produce short films, graphics, events, editorials, and cupcakes She has generated over 60 million views across platforms by co-producing and coordinating shoots with; The New York Times, Buzzfeed, Insider, ABC7, The Humane League, and many more.
As a vocalist, rapper and actress, she has been featured in musicals, short films, documentaries, and performance art. She has developed several original leading roles Off-Broadway, regionally and internationally. Recent stage appearances: Polly in THE LOOPHOLE (Public Theatre,) Blue in afloat (WP Theatre,) Warhol 3 in THREE WARHOLS.
Her first and only solo show "I Quit" was filmed live in NYC and will be released for the holidays. As she emabarks on the brave journey into Millenial Retirement TM, she encourages you to also give up!!
